Follow up point and emphasis on Neg-Game
I just want to make something really clear, negs need to seem fun, flirty and playful or else it can be bad.
Put it this way, in my experience it was like this.
The neg "Now I know it could never work out between me and you"
When in an playful, fun way with a smile on my face
She: "What? Why??? hehe"
When done uncalibrated (serious look on my face, not playful, etc)
She: "umm.. oh. Well all right"
Or
"Hey you got something in your eye"
(Now I have never been able to do this one well, its not my style I probably seem real critical when I say it because I'm usually playful and this neg is so factual)
She: (rubs her eye and gets self conscious)
Another girl got pouty and left right away.
Knowing girls as I do now, she probably got emotional because even if you are a super low value guy, girls take insults/criticism real badly.
So you do not want to insult her in a real way, it has to be playful.
It's such a delicate balance. But as I said, go out there and learn the ropes. Be okay with making a lot of mistakes (hell I still do all the time) and be cool with it, but try to learn as much as you can every time.

Don't forget the "throw and go" rule with negs. This is key.
